My name is Andrew Knight and I am team leader of Resolution Syndicate
Let me tell you a little about myself. I am passionate about sports and love outdoor activities such as: hiking, cycling, swimming, skiing, soccer and golf. I also love travelling to other countries and learning about different cultures and customs. But my favourite pastime, when I am not teaching, is spending time with my wife and two daughters.
I am looking forward to sharing the classroom with your child this year. We will have an exciting journey of learning and discovery, which will be enhanced by a collaborative partnership between you, your child and me. During the year your child will develop their independence and become more responsible for their own learning. Learning will be interactive, exciting and meaningful.
I look forward to meeting you and discussing your child’s strengths, interests and needs. You will find that I am very approachable and dedicated to working with you to maximise your child’s success both academically and socially. Please do not hesitate to come and see me about any concerns or queries that you may have.
NATALIE PACKER Kia Ora! My name is Natalie Packer and this is my 4th year at Discovery School. I was born in the USA I've had the great opportunity to teach in both the United States and New Zealand now for many years.
My husband and I have three children that have all gone to Discovery School. We enjoy being together on the weekends and with our extended family. We enjoy time at the movies, kickboxing, running our dog Konah on the beach, travelling and cooking, and playing in the gardens!
Our class mascots, Harley the Bear, Meerkat, Maui and Moana and Freddie the Frog are all excited to share a new year with the new 2017 NP Class. Our class frog is jumping with excitement to get into all of the new adventures and exciting learning that the new year holds for us.
School is one of my favourite places and in our thinking and sharing classroom we will go many exciting places, learn amazing things and stretch our amazing brains to new heights! TEAMWORK is the key! In the classroom we are a BIG TEAM of many hands, minds and thoughts. On the home front there are more IMPORTANT teamamtes of mine that will help each child's success at learning. This triangle partnership between home, teacher and child is VITAL with good open lines of communication and support it will be very SUCCESSFUL.

Welcome to sm class 2014. My name is Mrs Moeke and I teach the 26 amazing children in sm class. You can find us in Resolution Syndicate, way down the end towards the field.
This year our class is a mixture of lovely new faces from Adventure syndicate, wonderfully familiar faces from Resolution syndicate 2013, and we have also welcomed a new student to our school and class. Q Bear has returned from holiday and is looking forward to staying at your place for the weekend sometime this year! I am looking forward to getting to know all of you as the term progresses.
I know we will have lots of fun as we
get to know each other,
learn,
and worktogether as a great sm class team.
Our classroom is a thinking classroom where we learn to
look after, use and stretch our amazing brains.
The children will share their thoughts, ideas, knowledge and feelings
as we learn new things and remember things we already know.
There are many interesting and challenging activities for us to try
— I can’t wait to to get all this learning started!
Discovery School is my favourite school
Resolution Syndicate is my favourite syndicate
and Year 3 and 4 children are my favourite age to teach!
In my family we have three grown up children and two beautiful grandchildren. In my time away from school I like to be with my family, attending to my garden or being arty and creative.
At school I lead the Inquiry learning team and Visual Arts, (which are both passions of mine). I am involved also in the Literacy, Maori and Science team. I am also very interested in many other aspects of education and how we can improve the programmes we deliver to our children in creative and interesting ways.
I really enjoy teaching at Discovery School - it is an exciting place to work and learn.
You are always welcome to contact me if you need something explained or to discuss your child's progress. Pop in to see me before or after school or contact me by phone or email. My email is [email protected] if you need to contact me.
Nga mihi Sandy

Kia ora koutou, My name is Ramona Barbara and I am very excited to be a part of the Resolution Syndicate at Discovery School.
My family and I have enjoyed our first year in the windy Wellington and totally understand the phrase ‘bad hair day!’ I have taught in Gisborne for the past 15 years and really enjoyed my 2015 at Discovery School. I am married to Graham and we have two energetic boys. Maioha, who is 17 and Logan who is coming up 7.
I really enjoy travelling, shopping, going to the movies, exercising and most importantly spending time with my whānau and friends.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching their full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead. I believe that communication is the key to a great parent teacher relationship and I am very approachable and encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. 2016 is going to be an extremely interesting, fun & successful year.
